(2/2) You answered my question about Scientology, but not about Christian Science. Would it be okay for a Christian Science organization to not pay for any medical care if they felt that doing so would violate their religious freedom?
They believe that prayer is preferable to medical care.
As such, why would they operate hospitals?
Catholics believe in using medicine. That’s why we operate hospitals.
Anyway, with providing insurance to employees, the organizations providing the insurance (IE, the hospital, school, drug treatment center) would have to show that they have a legitimate moral objection to providing some kind of service.
If they have a moral objection, they don’t have to provide it.
