(1/2) No, I wasn't looking for the "Scientology isn't a religion" response. Scientologists actually do operate schools, drug treatment centres, etc (just so you know). And I wasn't trying to equate birth control with health care (although I do think that it is). Christian Scientists believe that prayer is preferable to medical care. I was asking if you thought that these religions should also be allowed to not fund medication that they disagree with.

As such, why would they operate hospitals?

Catholics believe in using medicine. That’s why we operate hospitals.

Anyway, with providing insurance to employees, the organizations providing the insurance (IE, the hospital, school, drug treatment center) would have to show that they have a legitimate moral objection to providing some kind of service.

If they have a moral objection, they don’t have to provide it.
