What scientologist organizations are there?
Furthermore, if it’s a private religious organization, it must be demonstrated that providing a certain service is directly against its moral code. Therefore, scientologists would have to show why psychiatric treatment is against their teachings, has always been, and always will be. Then, they wouldn’t have to PAY for it. Their employees could still receive those services, but the organization wouldn’t have to pay for it.
I see what you did with this ask. You picked a “religion” that is constantly shat on, expecting me to react with “But they’re not a religion so it doesn’t work that way!”
Nice try.
Forcing the Catholic hospitals and schools to provide birth control to either employees or clients is like forcing a Jewish deli to provide pork.
The other part of your ask assumes that birth control is “health care”. Tell me, what part of “making my body work contrary to how it is supposed to work so I can go engage in sex, which may result in my contracting an STD or becoming pregnant anyway” is good medicine? It’s false hope, and it’s toxic.
Psychiatric help is good medicine because it helps people’s brains work properly. It helps people function in society. Birth control does that, but in such a way that denies biologically proper functions.
